"Travelling by train, car and hitchhiking."

 
Travelling is very popular nowadays. A 

lot of people travel to different countries if they have such opportunity. Travelling allows you to get interesting experience, learn about people’s life in other countries and continents.These are many ways of traveling — by train, by plain, by ship, on foot.

Travelling by train is slower than by plane, but it has its advantages. You can see much more interesting places of the country you are travelling through. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. There are also sleeping cars and dining cars which make even the longest journey enjoyable. Speed, comfort and safety are the main advantages of trains. Moreover, big railway stations are quite excited places. There are crowds of people, the porters pull the luggage along the platforms, and hungry passengers hurry to the refreshment rooms.

Tours by car are also very popular. The main advantage of this method is that you are quite independent. You don’t have to watch a timetable or buy any tickets. You can stop at any place you like and see sights at a short time. And you can drive in any direction.It is quite true that driving a car has some disadvantages. In town it is rather a nuisance with all those traffic «jams» or «hold - ups», round-abouts, detours and so on. It is not pleasant at all when you ride on a bumpy road or get a flat tyre, or still worse, when you get stuck in the mud.

Hitchhiking is becoming popular mainly among young people. Hitchhiking means travelling with the help of other people you have never met. You just have to stand at the edge of a road, facing traffic, with the thumb upwards. In this way, you travel meeting more and more people that help to reach your destination. 

However, hitchhiking is much more challenging than any other way of travelling. You should be tough and well-prepared. You should be ready to walk a lot, to use a map, to organise your trip well bringing enough food and arranging sleeping places. And finally, if you hitchhike, you must be very careful, because people who agree to pick you up are not all friendly and faithful. If you bear in mind all these things, you will definitely have an unbelievable trip.
